ORDINANCE NO. 84-28
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING THE WINSLOW TRAFFIC CODE,
TITLE 10 OF THE WINSLOW MUNICIPAL CODE, BY
ADDING THERETO A NEW CHAPTER 10.18 ENTITLED
MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A new Chapter 10.18 is hereby added to
the Winslow Municipal Code, entitled "Miscellaneous Traffic
Regulations", to read as follows:
10.18.010 INATTENTIVE DRIVING. It is unlawful for
any person to operate a motor vehicle within the
City in an inattentive manner. For the purposes of
this Section, "inattentive manner" means the opera-
tion of a motor vehicle in a manner which evidences
a lack of the degree of attentivehess required to
safely operate the vehicle under the prevailing
conditions of the roadway, presence of other traf-
fic, presence of pedestrians and weather condi-
tions. The offense of operating a motor vehicle in
an inattentive manner shall be considered to be a
lesser offense than, but included in the offense of
operating a motor vehicle in a negligent manner.
10.18.020. PENALTY FOR INATTENTIVE DRIVING. Vio-
lation of any of the provisions of this chapter
constitutes an infraction subject to the penalty
provided in the applicable bail schedule adopted by
the Winslow Municipal Court.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
