ORDINANCE NO. 85-1
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON,
ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 12.28, TO THE WINSLOW MUNICIPAL
CODE, ENTITLED "STREET DEDICATIONS"; REQUIRING THE
DEDICATION OF RIGHTS OF WAYS; AND ADJUSTING
STANDARDS FOR STREET WIDTHS.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that public health, safety
and general welfare is served by making adequate provision for
street widths in the course of developing property, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A new Chapter 12.28 is hereby added to the
Winslow Municipal Code to be entitled "Street Dedications" and
shall read as follows:

Dedication Required
No building permit, subdivision, short subdivi-
sion or planned unit development shall be
approved or granted until the owner of the
affected property dedicates to the City the por-
tion of land designated on the official street
map as a street right of way. Dedications may
also be required as a condition of approval for
variances and conditional use permits.
Street Map Adopted
The City hereby adopts as its official street
map, that certain map labeled "Official Street
Map", dated January 3 , 1985,
and on file in the Land Use Administrator's
Office.
Amendment of Map
The official street map may be amended by ordi-
nance passed by the City Council. Dedications
may be entered in the map without an ordinance
after acceptance by the City.
Setbacks Required
No permit shall be issued or improvement built
within an existing or proposed right of way shown
on the official street map. Required yard set-
backs shall be measured from the proposed right
of way shown on the map.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.
