ORDINANCE NO. 85-11
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 17.04.210 OF THE WINSLOW MUNICI-
PAL CODE TO ALLOW THE HEARING EXAMINER OR CITY
COUNCIL TO MODIFY SUBDIVISION STANDARDS WHEN THE
SUBDIVISION IS PROPOSED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winslow,
Washington, finds that there should be greater flexibility in
approving planned unit developments and
WHEREAS, currently subdivision standards may be incon-
sistent with the purposes of the planned unit development
concept, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 17.04.210 of the Winslow Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.04.210 Subdivision Standards.
A0 The city council adopts as standards which
shall be applicable to all plats submitted, that
certain document entitled "Subdivision and Short
Subdivision Standards" and dated May 17, 1984.
The city clerk is directed to authenticate and
record said document which shall be filed in the
city cterk's office for use and examination by the
public. These standards shall be available with-
out cost to any person requesting the same.
B. The above standards may be modified by the
Hearing Examiner and City Council if the request
for subdivision approval is made in conjunction
with request for approval of a planned unit deve-
lopment pursuant to Chapter 18.40 of the Winslow
Municipal Code. The modifications to the subdi-
vision standards shall be consistent with the
intents and purposes of Chapter 18.40 and shall
not be detrimental to traffic safety, sound engi-
neering practice, the public health, safety or
general welfare.
Section 2. This ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force
five (5) days after the date of publication.
