ORDINANCE NO. 85-14
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON,
DELETING SUBSECTIONS 5.08.040(C) AND (D) OF THE
WINSLOW MUNICIPAL CODE TO ELIMINATE THE UTILITIES
TAX ON WATER AND SEWER TO BE EFFECTIVE ON SERVICES
CONSUMED ON AND AFTER JANUARY 1, 1985.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winslow finds
that it is in the best interests of the publlc health, safety and
general welfare to repeal the utilities tax on water and sewer
servlces commencing on servlces consumed after January 1, 1985,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5.08.040(C) and (D) of the Winslow
Municipal Code are hereby repealed to eliminate the seven percent
(7%) utilities tax imposed on water and sewer services. Said
repeal shall be effective for water services consumed and sewer
seEvices used on and after January 1, 1985.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published in the
official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in
full force five (5) days after the date of publication.
