ORDINANCE NO. 85-23
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE 1985 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.
84-30
WHEREAS, 'the City Council adopted the 1985 budget by
passage of Ordinance No. 84-30, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the public health, safety and general welfare to
amend the budget to allow for expenditure for items not reason-
ably anticipated at the time of passage of the 1985 budget and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that decreasing the
appropriations in certain funds is in the best interest of the
City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council also finds that reducing the
number of separate funds will be in the best interests of the
City, and
WHEREAS, this ordinance was not voted on until at least
five days after its introduction by filing with the City Clerk,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 84-30 and the 1985 budget are
each hereby amended as set forth on Exhibit A, attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth in
full.
Section 2. The separate funds in the City's budget are
hereby consolidated in the manner as set forth on Exhibit B,
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference as if
set forth in full. Budgeted funds ~nichare not set forth onExhibit B
are hereby abolished.

The City Clerk/Treasurer is hereby
to make the necessary and appropriate
changes to the 1985 budget as authorized by this ordinance. A
copy of this ordinance shall be transmitted to the Division of
Municipal Corporations in the Office of State Auditor and to the
Association of Washington Cities.
Section ~. This ordinance, having received the vote of
one more than a majority of all members of the City Council shall
be in full force and effect five days after publication.
