0RDZNANCE NO. 86-16
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHING-
TON, REPEALING ORDINANCE 86-11 PASSED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL ON JUNE 5, 1986, WHICH ORDERED
THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE
CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTEN-
TION 86-09 AND ESTABLISHED THE MADISON AVENUE
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (LID NO. 9).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winslow did
pass Ordinance No. 86-11 on June 5, 1986, thereby creating LID
No. 9 and
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS,

RCW 55.45.180 states that the City shall be
authority to proceed with a proposed LID if
protests are filed with the City within the protest period by the
owners of property within the proposed local improvement district
subject to 60% or more of the total cost of the improvement, and
WHEREAS, protests have been received from owners within
the district subject to 66.87% of the total cost of the improve-
ment, and
WHEREAS, the City is hereby divested of the authority
to proceed with the Madison Avenue LID (LID No. 9), now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Winslow,
Washington, hereby repeals Ordinance No. 86-11 passed by the City
Council on June 5, 1986, which created the Madison Avenue Local
Improvement District, LID No. 9.
Section 2. This ordinance or a summary thereof con-
sisting of the title shall be published in the official newspaper
of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5)
days after the date of publication.
