ORDINANCE NO. 86-23
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHING-
TON, AUTHORIZING THE CLERK/TREASURER TO PLACE
CITY FUNDS INTO THE PUBLIC FUNDS INVESTMENT
ACCOUNT FOR INVESTMENT AND REINVESTMENT BY THE
STATE TREASURER.
WHEREAS, Chapter 294 Laws of Washington, 1986, created
a trust fund in the state treasury known as the Public Funds
Investment Account, and
WHEREAS, said law authorizes cities to place funds into
the public funds investment account, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winslow,
Washington, finds that the City Clerk/Treasurer should have
authority to invest City funds as authorized by said law, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Clerk/Treasurer is hereby authorized to
place City funds into the Public Funds Investment Account for
investment and reinvestment by the State Treasurer as provided by
law.
Section 2. This ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full
force five (5) days after the date of publication.
