ORD 87-10 MONTHLY BILLINGS OF WATER & SEWERORDINANCE NO. 87-10
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 13.16.070(A) OF THE WINSLOW
MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW FOR MONTHLY BILLINGS
OF ALL WATER AND/OR SEWER ACCOUNTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 13.16.070 of the Winslow Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
(A)
Water and/or sewer service accounts shall
be billed monthly on or about the first
day of the month succeeding the month in
which such service is furnished. Water
meters shall be read monthly. Water/sewer
billings sent in the month following a meter
reading shall be based upon that reading.
The billings shall be based upon the average
water consumption for the particular unit
from readings taken December through May.
Appropriate adjustments to the bill shall
be made on the basis of the actual readings.
Section 2. Nothing herein shall be deemed to affect
the averaging of sewer rates set forth in Ordinance 84-25.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication as provided
by law.
