AN ORDINANCE REMOVING THE WINSLOW CHIEF OF POLICE
FROM THE JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW
CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the: ~City of Winslow, Washington,
has determined that it is desirable to remove the position of
police chief from the jurisdiction of the City of Winslow Civil
Service Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winslow, Washington,
has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of
the City to remove such position effective upon passage of this
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Washington allow for such
removals.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
WINSLOW, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The position of Winslow Police Chief is removed
from the jurisdiction of the City of Winslow Civil Service Commis-
sion effective with the passage of this ordinance.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law.
