AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSlEW, Kn~SHINGTON,
AMENDING CHAPTER 15 OF THE WINSIf~q MUNICIPAL CODE
EN*PI2~.ED BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTION BY ADDING A
SECTION TO PROVIDE FOR INSTAI.IATION OF A LEAK
DETECTION METER WITH A DOUBLE CHECK VALVE ON NEW
FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that present ordinances
governing fire sprinkler systems should be amended, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this ordinance is in the
interest of the public health, s. afety and welfare, now, therefore,
the Mayor and City Council of the City of Winslow, Washington,
do ordain changes to the Winslow Municipal Code to read:
Section 1. Section 15.04.090A Fire Protection Systems is amended
to add a new subsection to read:
3. All sprinkler systems installed after the effective
date of this ordinance shall be equipped with a
leak detector meter which includes a double check
valve assembly.
Section 2. This ordinance or a sunmary thereof consisting of
the title and the penalty provision applicable to this shall be
published in tj~e official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect
and be in full force five (5) days after publication.
