AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 89-04, ESTABLISHING A
BOARD OF PAPd< COMMISSIONERS TO CHANGE THE MJ~NNER OF
ADVERTISING MEETING AGENDAS AND TO ESTABLISH MEETING
TIMES AS THE FIRST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 7:30 PM
AT WINSLOW CITY HALL.
The Mayor and City Council of the City of Winslow,
Washington, do ordain changes to the Winslow Municipal code
as follows:
Section 1. Section 2.32.040, of the Winslow
Municipal Code is amended so that when amended it shall read
in full as follows: underlined only for edification.
2.32.040 Meetings-Presiding Officer-Quorum
A. The Board shall hold regular monthly meetings on
the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at City
Hall, and in addition may hold special meetings at such times
as may be called by the chairman with written notice to each
member at least 24 hours before the time for the proposed
meeting. All meetings shall be conducted in accordance with
Roberts Rules of Order, shall be open to the public and
subject to the Open Public Meetings Act of the state, RCW
42.30.
B. Meetings of the board shall be presided over by
the chairman if present, or by the vice chairman in the
absence of the chairman. At all meetings of the board, a
majority of three shall constitute a quorum for the
transaction of business, and a majority vote of those present
shall be necessary to pass any motion. The secretary shall
keep accurate minutes of all meetings, the original of which
shall be filed with the city clerk. Minutes shall be
distributed to the members within two weeks following each
meeting.
C. The board shall post in accordance with city
ordinance at least one week in advance of all regular
meetings and 24 hours in advance of any special meeting, a
written agenda for that meeting.
Section 2. This ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title shall be published in the official
newspaper of the city and shall take effect and be in full
force five (5) days after publication.
