ORD 90-08 ANNEXATION OF COBI TO KC FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 2ORDINANCE NO. 90-08
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Winslow, Washington,
initiating the annexation of the City of Winslow
to Kitsap County Fire Protection District No. 2.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 90-18 , the City Council
of the City of Winslow has called for an election to be held
in the unincorporated territory of Bainbridge Island on the
question of whether that territory should be annexed to the
City of Winslow; and
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to RCW 52.04.061, the City
Council of the City of Winslow declares its intent to annex
to and join Kitsap County Fire Protection District No. 2, if
the electorate and qualified voters of the unincorporated
territory on Bainbridge Island approve the annexation of that
territory to the City.
Section 2. The Land Use Administrator is directed
and authorized to prepare and file a Notice of Intention to
Annex with the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board and to
carry out the requirements of the State Environmental Policy
Act.
Section 3. The City Clerk-Treasurer is authorized
and directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance with
the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners and the Board of
Commissioners of Kitsap County Fire Protection District No.
2.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five days from and after its passage, approval,
publication and posting as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Winslow,
Washington, this 14th day of March, 1990.
