ORD 91-28 APPOINTIVE OFFICESORDINANCE NO. 91- 28 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Winslow, Washington, establishing and eliminating appointive offices of the City; designating the Director of Public Works as the City Engineer; increasing the official bond of the Director of Finance and Administrative Services; assigning the duties of the City Treasurer to the Finance Director; and amending Sections 2.08.030 and 2.08.040(A) of the Winslow Municipal Code. WHEREAS, the annexation of unincorporated Bainbridge Island into the City of Winslow has increased the administrative duties and responsibilities of the City of Winslow; and WHEREAS, the City Council has approved reorganization and restructure of the City staff in the 1991 budget to respond to the increased duties and responsibilities and to meet the needs of the community; now, therefore THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2.08.030 of the Winslow Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 2.08.030 Appointive Offices Designated. The following appointive offices of the City are established: A. B. C. D. E. F. G. H. I. J. K. L. M. N. O. P. Q• R. lr/1490R Director of Finance and Administrative Services Deputy Treasurer Chief of Police Director of Field Operations Municipal Judge Municipal Judge Pro Tempore City Attorney City Prosecutor Director of Public Works Fire Marshal Director of Planning and Development Building Official City Administrator City Clerk Court Administrator Systems Manager Accounting Manager Administrative Assistant - 1 - Community The salary of each appointive officer, and the salary or wage of each appointive officer working under such appointive officer, shall be set by the City Council; provided, that the compensation for municipal judge, municipal judge pro tempore, city attorney, city prosecutor and fire marshal shall be set by contract approved by the City Council. Section 2. The Director of Finance and Administrative Services is designated as the City Treasurer to perform the duties and responsibilities of a city treasurer under the laws of the State or the ordinances of the City. Section 3. The Director of Public Works is designated as the City Engineer to perform the duties and responsibilities of a city engineer under the laws of the State or the ordinances of the City. Section 4. Section 2.08.040(A) of the Winslow Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 2.08.040 Official Bonds. A. Before undertaking the duties of office, the Director of Finance and Administrative Services shall qualify by furnishing a fidelity bond at the expense of the City in the sum of $50,000.00. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage, approval, publication and posting as required by law.
