ORD 91-17 EXCAVATION AND GRADINGORDINANCE NO. 91-1_
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Winslow, Washington,
relating to excavation and grading, and amending
Section 15.04.020(A) of the Winslow Municipal
Code.
WHEREAS, the Winslow Municipal Code does not contain any
regulations governing excavation and grading on private
property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt appendix
Chapter 70 "Excavation and Grading" of the Uniform Building
Code as an interim excavation and grading regulation until such
time as a new clearing and grading ordinance can be prepared;
and
WHEREAS, appendix Chapter 70 does not contain provisions
relating to the preservation of significant trees; now,
therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW! WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 15.04.020(A) of the Winslow Municipal
Code, as last amended by Ordinance No. 89-22, is amended as
follows:
The following codes are adopted by reference
subject to modifications and/or amendments set forth
in Sections 15.04.030 through 15.04.090:
A. Uniform Building Code, 1988 Edition,
including appendix Chapter 70, Uniforming Building
Standards, 1988 Edition, as published by the
International Conference of Building Officials;
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five days from and after its passage, approval,
publication and posting as required by law.
