ORD 92-29 OPENING & DEDICATION OF SHEPARD WAYORDINANCE NO. 92- 29
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, providing for the dedication and opening of
Shepard Way across City owned property.
WHEREAS, Shepard Way is a street located within the City which currently runs
into and ends at City owned real property; and
WHEREAS, on August 6, 1992, at an open meeting of the City Council, the Council
determined that it is in the best interests of the public for the City to extend Shepard Way
across the City owned real property, and the Council unanimously approved the extension
of Shepard Way across the City owned real property; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to dedicate a portion of the City's real property for
street purposes and to open Shepard Way across the City owned property; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City owned real property legally described on Exhibit A to this
Ordinance is hereby dedicated to the public for road purposes. The City may take all
actions reasonably necessary to open Shepard Way and construct an extension of Shepard
Way across said real property.
Section 2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to file a certified copy of
this ordinance with the Kitsap County Auditor's office.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after
its passage, approval, publication and posting as required by law.
