AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge
Island, Washington, relating to the storm
and surface water utility, and amending
Section 13.24. 100 of the Bainbridge Island
Municipal Code.
WEEREAS, by Ordinance No. 91-49,
1991, the City extended the storm
Bainbridge Island; and
passed on December 30 ·
water utility to all of
W~EREAS, the City Council desires to establish a billing
schedule for storm and surface w~ter utility customers who do
not have water or sewer service accounts with the City; now,
therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL oF TEE CITY OF BAINBR~DGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN, as follows:
.Sectio~ 1. Section 13.24.100 of the
Municipal Code is amended as follows:

13.24.100. Billing and Payment. Where the
property OWner or cUStomer ham a water or sewer
service account with the City, the fees imposed by
this Chapter shall be billed monthly in conjunction
with the water or sewer service bill. For all other
property owners or customers, the fees imposed by this
Chapter shall be billed semi-annually. All charges
for storm and surface water service shall be due and
payable during the 20-day period succeeding the date
of the billing. If the whole or any portion of the
charge remains unpaid after the 20-day period during
which the charge is due and payable, the account shall
become delinquent. All delinquent accounts shall be
subject to a monthly penalty charge of 10% of the
amount that is delinquent.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect
force five (5) days from and afte~ its pazsage,
publication and posting as required by law.
