ORD 93-20 UNIFORM CODES FOR BUILDINGS & CONSTRUCTIONORDINANCE NO. 93-20 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, relating to building and construction standards; adopting uniform codes for buildings and construction; and amending Section 15.04.020 of the Municipal Code. WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to adopt the newest versions of the Uniform Codes relating to buildings and construction; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 15.04.020 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is amended as follows: 15.04.020 Codes adopted by reference. The following codes are adopted by reference subject to the amendments set forth in Sections 15.04.030 through 15.04.090: A. The 1991 edition of the Uniform Building Code, including chapters 11, 29, 32 and 70 of the appendix, and the 1991 edition of the Uniform Building Standards, both as published by the International Conference of Building Officials, as amended and adopted by the State Building Code Council; B. The 1991 edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, including Appendix C, as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and as amended and adopted by the State Building Code Council, and the 1991 Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code, as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials; C. The 1991 edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code and the 1991 edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code Standards, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and as amended and adopted by the State Building Code Council; D. The 1991 edition of the Uniform Fire Code and the 1991 edition of the Uniform Fire Code Standards, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials and Western Fire F:\DMS\JFS\0022732.02 03/17/93 - 1 - Chiefs Association and as amended and adopted by the State Building Code Council; E. The 1991 edition of the Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials; F. The Washington State Energy Code, as adopted and set forth in Chapter 51-11, WAC; G. The Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Quality Code, as adopted by the State Building Code Council and set forth in Chapter 51-13, WAC; H. The 1991 edition of the Uniform Administrative Code as published by the International Conference of Building Officials; In case of conflict among the codes adopted in subsections A, B, C and D of this Section, the Code adopted in subsection A shall govern over those adopted in subsections B, C and D.
