ORD 93-13 LIMITS FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGSORDINANCE NO. 93-13
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, RELATING TO THE DAY, PLACE, TIME,
AND TIME LIMIT FOR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, AMENDING BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 2.04.010, 2.04.020,
2.04.030, AND 2.04.040; AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NO.
91-01 AND 81-29.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 2.04.010 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal
Code is amended as follows:
2.04.010 Held When. The City Council shall hold its
meetings on the first and third Thursday of each
month.
Section 2. Section 2.04.020 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal
Code is amended as follows:
2.04.020 Place. The meeting place for the City
Council meetings shall be in the Bainbridge Island
Fire Department Building, Multi -Purpose Room, 8895
Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island, Washington,
except for the first meeting in April, when it will be
held at Blakely Elementary School, 4704 Blakely Avenue
NE, Bainbridge Island, and the first meeting in May,
when it will be held at Wilkes Elementary School,
12781 Madison Avenue NE, Bainbridge Island.
Section 3. Section 2.04.030 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal
Code is amended as follows:
2.04.030 Time. The time for such City Council
meetings shall be 7:00 PM.
Section 4. Section 2.04.040 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal
Code is amended as follows:
2.04.040 Time Limit. City Council meetings shall
continue until all business on the agenda has been
concluded. However, by majority vote, the Council may
elect to carry over and/or continue some items.of business.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five
days from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
