RES 2006-07 COMMUNITY FORESTRY MANAGEMENT PLANRESOLUTION NO. 2006-07
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, accepting
a Community Forest Management Plan for the purposes
of implementing comprehensive management of the
community forest.
WHEREAS, as required by the Washington State Growth Management Act, the
City adopted a Comprehensive Plan on September 1, 1994, subsequently amended;
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan contains an Environmental Element that
establishes goals and policies to preserve and enhance the community forest; and
WHEREAS, in September 2001, Resolution 2001-51, established the
Community Forestry Commission tasked with development of a Community Forestry
Management Plan; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council accepts the attached and incorporated City of
Bainbridge Island Community Forest Management Plan 2006 as a guide for long-term
management of the community forest. Portions of the plan may be adopted in the future
for implementation, as necessary.
