RES 2005-08 NON-MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATIONRESOLUTION NO. 2005-08
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of Bainbridge Island, Washington
Amending the name of the Non -motorized Transportation Advisory
Committee and increasing the number of Committee members appointed.
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island has adopted a Non -motorized
Transportation Plan (Ordinance 2002-09) as part of the Transportation Element of the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Non -motorized Transportation Plan calls for the establishment
of a Citizen Committee, appointed by the Mayor, to advocate for and ensure
implementation of the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City did establish a seven member Non -motorized
Transportation Advisory Committee (Resolution 2002-49); and
WHEREAS, the expanded focus and increased budget for non -motorized projects
and programs warrants additional Committee members.
BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the Non -motorized Transportation Advisory Committee shall be
expanded from 5 to 7 to 7 to 9 members, appointed no later than February 15, 2005; and
Section 2. In order to stagger the terms of the Non -motorized Transportation Advisory
Committee the new member shall serve a two year term (until February 2007)
