AN ORDINANCE of the City of
Bainbridge Island, Washington,
amending the City's Comprehensive
Plan land use map, correcting an
error in the land use map concerning
the boundary of the Mixed Use Town
Center, Central Core Overlay
District and incorporating the
change to the land use map approved
by Ordinance 95-16
WHEREAS, Tax Parcel Nos. 272502-4-108-2007 and 272502-4-109-
2006 were zoned Lower Madison Waterfront District; Tax Parcel
Nos. 272502-4-111-2002 and 272502-4-112-2001 were zoned
Madison Avenue District by City of Bainbridge Island Official
Zoning Map, adopted February 20, 1992 (the Official Zoning
Map); and
WHEREAS, the City adopted a comprehensive plan on
September 1, 1994 (the comprehensive plan); and
WHEREAS, it was intended that the properties located within
the Lower Madison Waterfront and Madison Avenue zones, as
shown Official Zoning Map, be included in the Central Core
Overlay District of the Mixed Use Town Center District as
designated on the land use map of the comprehensive plan; and
WHEREAS, through a clerical error in the land use map of the
comprehensive plan, Tax Parcels 272502-4-108-2007, 272502-4-
109-2006, 272502-4-111-2002 and 272502-4-112-2001 were
excluded from the Central Core Overlay District of the Mixed
Use Town Center District; and
WHEREAS, the City adopted Ordinance 95-16 to amend the land
use map of the comprehensive plan to change the designation of
Tax Parcels 232502-3-027-2001 and 2325-3-030-2005 from the
High School Road II and High School Road I districts; now
therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN, as follows:
Section 1. The City's comprehensive plan, adopted by Section 2 of
Ordinance No. 94-21, as amended by Ordinance No. 95-16 and
Ordinance 95-41, is further amended to correct the land use map of
the comprehensive plan as follows:
Tax Parcels 272502-4-108-2007, 272502-4-109-2006, 272502-4-
111-2002 and 272502-4-112-2001 are designated on the
comprehensive plan land use map as Central Core Overlay
District of the Mixed Use Town Center District.
Tax Parcels 232502-3-027-2001 and 2325-3-030-2005 are
designated on the comprehensive plan land use map as High
School Road I District.
Section 2. The land use map of the City of Bainbridge Island
comprehensive plan shall be amended to modify the location and
boundaries of the Mixed Use Town Center, Central Core Overlay
District, to incorporate the modifications approved by this
ordinance and the modifications contained in Ordinance 95-16, as
shown on Exhibit A.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect on and be in force
five days from and after its passage, approval, and publication as
required by law.
