AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, WashinGon,
relating to the City's purchasing procedures; 3m,-nding Section
3.72.050 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code.
WI~REAS, t!~ .City is not required to use the formal bidding process for purchases that
do not exceed $15,000, and the City Council would lik~ to have a consistent policy for the
Councirs authorization of acquisitions in situations where another governmental entity has
agreed to conduct the formal bidding process for the City's acquisition of supplies, materials,
cquipment or services; now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 3.72.050 of tl~ Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is 3_mended to read
as follows:

Section 2. This. ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days after its passage,
approval, and publication as required by law.
