RES 2002-37 MANDUS OLSEN ROAD VEHICLE LIMITATIONSRESOLUTION NO. 2002-37
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
limiting motorized vehicular access on a temporary basis on a
portion on Mandus Olsen Road between Koura Road and New
Brooklyn Road.
WHEREAS, the City recently improved a portion of the Mandus Olsen Road right-of-
way between the driveways to 10549 and 96001/2 Mandus Olsen Road that was generally
unusable by vehicular traffic to provide improved access for non -motorized use; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to limit this portion of Mandus Olsen Road to non -
motorized use on a temporary basis until such time as the City determines that the right-of-way
is necessary for motorized vehicle use; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE:
The City shall limit temporarily the portion of Mandus Olsen Road between the
driveways on the properties located at 10549 and 9600'/2 Mandus Olsen Road to non -
motorized use by placement of signage and bollards.
2. The City shall repeal this limitation and reopen the restricted portion of the Mandus
Olsen Road right-of-way to motorized vehicle use at such time as the City determines
that the restricted portion of the right-of-way :is necessary for motorized vehicle use.
