AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
relatin,.~ to fees charged by th~ City; amending Section 1.28.015 of
the Bainhridge Island Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the City
to charge a nonrefundable application fee for applications to rent city facilities, and a fee for
time spent by City personnel in connection with the rental of city facilities before or after the
personnel's ordinary working hours; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAIN'BRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON,
DO GRDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 1.28.015 of the Bainhridge Island Municipal Code is amended to read
as follows:

ownod by the city in the amount eatablished by the city by resolution. Persons
seek.ing to rent facilities owned by the city shall submit to the city clerk a rental
application in the form approved by the ciW, with a nonrefundable rental
application fee in the amount established by the city by resolution_. If the
applicant rents the city facilities., the city shall charge a rental fee for the use of
the facilities in the amount established by the city by resolution. The rental
application fee Shall be applied to the rental fee.
B. If city personnel are required to perform services in connection with the
rental of city facilities before or after the personnel's ordinary working hours, the
tenter shall pay the city an aJ~ter hours activity fee in the mount established by
the city by resolution.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days after its passage,
approval, and publication as required by law.
