ORD 98-09 IMPLEMENTING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR LYNWOOD CENTERORDINANCE NO. 98- o9 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, implementing the Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the Lynwood Center Special Planning Area, amending Section 18.030.020 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code. · WHEREAS, the City adopted a Comprehensive Plan on September 1, 1994, as amended; and WHEREAS, the City undertook the Lynwood Center Special Planning Area process as designated in Policy NSC 1.2 of the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan and which process is set out in BIMC 18.115, Special Planning Area Process; and WHEREAS, implementation of the Lynwood Center Report and Final Recommendations required amendments to the Comprehensive Plan which were adopted by Ordinance 97-16 on June 5, 1997, in accordance with BIMC 18.115.080 and BIMC 18.117; and WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 36.70A, the Growth Management Act, development regulations must be adopted that implement the Comprehensive Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN, as follows: Section 1. Section 18.30.020 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code, is amended as follows: 18.30.20 Permitted Uses. Permitted uses in the R-2 zone are: A. Accessory dwelling units; B. Accessory parking on that parcel designated as R-2*, as provided for in the Lynwood Center Special Planning Area. ~. C. Accessory uses and buildings; C-:. D. Agriculture and accessory uses except agricultural processing; IX. E. Family day care homes; E-:. F. Manufactured homes; ~ G. Minor home occupations; G=. H. Public parks and playgrounds; t4=. I. Single -family dwellings built to UBC standards. Section 2. Relationship to other zoning provisions. To the extent that the requirements set forth in the provisions of this ordinance amending or adding sections to Chapter 18 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code are inconsistent with requirements set forth in other City code provisions, the requirements set forth in this ordinance shall supersede the requirements in the other City code provisions. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect on and be in force five days from and after its passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
