ORD 98-25 FEES FOR BUILDING PERMITSORDINANCE No. 98-25
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington
relating to fees and charges that are payable prior to issuance of
land use approvals and building permits, and adding a new section
2.16.060 to the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, the City desires to clarify the date on which fees and charges that are
payable prior to issuance of land use approvals and permits are fixed;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A new section 2.16.060 shall be added to Bainbridge Island Municipal
Code as follows:
A. Fees and charges payable to the City prior to issuance of a land use permit or
approval, except impact fees, shall be paid in an amount established by
ordinance or resolution as of the date on which the land use application is
accepted, except as provided in Paragraph B.
B. Fees and charges payable to the City prior to issuance of a building permit,
except impact fees, but including utility participation and connection charges,
shall be paid in an amount established by ordinance or resolution as of the date
on which the building permit application is accepted.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after August 1,
1998.
