ORD 98-51 AMENDING COMPREHENSIVE PLANORDINANCE NO. 98-51
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, amending the City's Comprehensive Plan
Land Use Element; and adding a new Economic Element
to the City's Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, the City adopted a Comprehensive Plan on September 1, 1994, which has
subsequently been amended; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Growth Management Act allows for the inclusion of
additional elements to local comprehensive plans; and
WHEREAS, policy LM 2.2 of the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan calls
for the completion of an Economic Development Element; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN, as follows:
Section 1. The Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan is amended by deleting policy
LM 2.2.
Section 2. A new Economic Element is added to the City' s Comprehensive Plan to read as
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as required by law.
