RES 92-33 LID NO. 16 ON VALLEY VUE WATER SYSTEMRESOLUTION NO. 92 _ 33
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, declaring an emergency and dispensing with
competitive bidding requirements for the water system
improvements to be constructed in Local Improvement
District No. 16.
WHEREAS, the owner of the Valley Vue Water System has
advised the system users that the System was to cease operation on
July 15, 1992, and,
WHEREAS, according to the State Department of Health, the Valley
Vue Water System serving the properties is contaminated, and,
WHEREAS, on July 2, 1992 the City Council created Local
Improvement District No. 16 (Valley Vue) and ordered the temporary and
permanent construction of water facility improvements to serve these
properties; and
WHEREAS, in order to preserve the health, safety and welfare
of the residents of property in the LID, it is necessary to construct
and install the water facility improvements as soon as possible.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT based upon the facts set forth in
the recitals above, there is an emergency justifying waiver of
competitive bidding requirements for construction and installation of
the water facility improvements in Local Improvement District No. 16.
