92-13 ROLLING BAY POST OFFICE CENTENNIAL DAY80 RESOLTUION NO. 92-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND PROCLAIMING THE DATE OF APRIL 6, 1992, AS THE ROLLING BAY POST OFFICE CENTENNIAL DAY. WHEREAS, Rolling Bay community represents one of the only two remaining United States Postal stations of eleven established on the Island from May 13, 1858, at Port Madison to September 11, 1926, at Moran School; and WHEREAS, a group of citizens has organized a celebration program to commemorate the one hundred years of active postal service that began April 6, 1892; and WHEREAS, this represents an acknowledgement of historical significance in the life of our total Bainbridge Island Community; now, therefore, THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It is a privilege of this Council to proclaim the date of April 6, 1992, "ROLLING BAY POST OFFICE CENTENNIAL DAY" and encourage all to participate in the activities scheduled from 10:00 AM through 4:00 PM that date.
