RES 93-22 AMENDMENT OF RES 91-22 RATES FEES AND SCHEDULESRESOLUTION NO. 93-22
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
amending Resolution 91-22, Rates, Fees and Schedules.
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island is in the process of
approving an ordinance regarding applications for signs; and,
WHEREAS, Section 15.08.080 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code
contains policies and general regulations for the construction and
placement of signs; and,
WHEREAS, mutual benefit is derived from all roads, both public and
private, being labelled properly and uniformly.
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island does not have an
application, construction or maintenance fee for the placement of
road signs for private roads; and,
WHEREAS, review of a private road sign proposal and construction of
the approved sign is recommended to ensure that the name, placement
and construction are consistent with the policies and regulations
of the City of Bainbridge Island; and,
WHEREAS, at current values, it costs approximately $125 for Public
Works to construct and install a road sign.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE TO AMEND R91-22 BY ADDING THE
FOLLOWING:
1). Authorize the Public Works Department to install private
road/street signs, when application and payment are made.
2). Establish a private road sign construction, erection and
maintenance fee of ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE ($125) DOLLARS.
3) Other requests for private road signs in public right -of way
which meet the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
standards and approved by City Council will be provided at the
cost determined by the Public Works Department at the time of
application.
