RES 94-50 POLICY OF FOUR HOUR PARKING ON BJUNE AND BRIEN DRIVESRESOLUTION NO. 94-50
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, establishing a policy of approving Brien and
Bjune Drives parking as a four hour parking area and
discontinuing all "monthly" parking in this area.
WHEREAS, BIMC Chapter 10.08 addresses the City's "Parking Regulations", and
WHEREAS, to retain the unique nature of "downtown Winslow" and to encourage pedestrian
traffic in this area, Brien and Bjune Drives are to become available for open parking.
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1994, the City Council approved Resolution No. 94-47,
discontinuing commuter parking on Brien and Bjune Drives.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
Continue the practice of issuing no new monthly parking permits as of
November 17, 1994, for Brien and Bjune Drives, as stated in R94-47.
Section 2.
Extend the issuance of monthly parking permits to allow renewal of
monthly parking through March 31, 1995, for those permit holders who
presently have permits.
Section 3.
As presently posted, any monthly parking space is available for open
parking after 9:00 AM.
Section 4.
The Public Works Department is directed to post standard traffic signs
indicating such revision.
