RES 95-10 ALLOCATING PARKING ON BJUNE AND BRIEN AVENUESRESOLUTION NO. 95-10 A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, allocating parking on Brien and Bjune Avenues. WHEREAS, the Central Business District (CBD) Parking Committee, made up of CBD business leaders, have requested the City enhance the attractiveness of doing business in the City by encouraging customer parking on Winslow Way and permitting off-Winslow Way parking for their employees, and WHEREAS, by Resolutions 94-47 and 94-50 the City Council approved the discontinuance of issuing new commuter parking permits for Brien and Bjune Drives as of November 17, 1994 and permit renewals after April 1, 1995 respectively, and WHEREAS, The CBD Parking Committee, working with the commuters, recommends continued and indefinite commuter parking permit issuance for those presently having permits, to be located on the east end of Brien Drive. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Those commuters presently paying for an assigned position on Brien or Bjune Drives will continue to be allowed to pay for and park in the parking spaces at the extreme east end of Brien Drive. Upon failure to pay for such parking space, the space will revert to open parking. Section 2. Commuter parking spaces will be available for open parking after 9:00AM on weekdays, on weekends and City holidays, with a two hour limit on weekdays. Section 3. Other than the spaces occupied by commuters, as noted in Section 1. above, all other parking spaces on Brien and Bjune Drives will be posted and made available for permitted CBD employee parking, and for open parking with a two hour limit for open parking. Section 4. The CBD employee permitting process will be as approved in a separate agreement. Section 5. Commuter parking rates shall be $50.00 per stall per month. Section 6. Section 7. Section 8. This Resolution and the above actions will become effective April 1, 1995. The Public Works Department is directed to post standard signs indicating such revision. This parking policy will be reviewed on an annual basis. Those commuters having reserved spaces in this area will be advised by mail of such review.
