RESOLUTION NO. 95-38
A RESOLdION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
expressing its deepest sympathy to the families of Mama
Fleetwood, Amy Riebe and Lee Rothwell who lost their lives
while providing service to the citizens of Bainbridge Island.
VV'Hli'~REAS, the citizens of Bahbridge Island have enjoyed the security of
on-call emergency medical transportation via Airlift Northwest for 13 years, and
WIIF~REAS, Airlift Northwest is staffed by persons who are unstinting in
their dedication to duty and willingness to serve whenever called upon, and
WHEREAS, the personnel of Airlift Northwest have always demonstrated
the highest professional standards in the care of patients they transport, and
VVHEREAS, in response to a call from Bainbridge Island early on the
morning of September 11, 1995, their ~ght ended in an accident fatal to aH three aboard
the aircraft.
NOW, TtIEREFORE, be it resolved the City Council of the City of
Bainbridge Island does, by these words, express to the families of Mama Fleetwood, Amy
Riebe, and Lee Rothwell its deepest sympathy for the tragic and untimely deaths of their
family members while in response to a call from Bainbridge Island on that day, and
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to
the victims' families in grateful appreciation for their profound commitment to service to
others.
