RES 97-15 PUBLIC HEARING FOR A L.I.D.RESOLUTION NO. 97-15 A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Bainbridge island, Washington, setting a date and time for a public headng on the creation of a local improvement disfdct for making certain improvements within the disfdcf pursuant to property owners' petition therefor, and providing for the publication and mailing to property owners of notice of the hearing. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk for the creation of a local improvement distdct to provide for making improvements within the district, all as more particularly described in the petition, and the City Council must set a date and time for the holding of a public headrig on the petition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, as follows: Section 1. The public hearing on the creation of a local improvement district for the making of certain improvements as described in the property owners' petition therefor, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference, will be held before the City Council on May 15, 1997 at 7:00 p.m., local time, in the Bainbridge Island Commons multi-purpose room, 402 B June Ddve S.W., Bainbridge Island, Washington. Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to cause notice of the hearing to be given by mail to all owners or reputed owners of all lots, tracts and parcels of land or other property to be specially benefited by the proposed improvements, as shown on the rolls of the Kitsap County Assessor at the address shown thereon, at least 15 days pdor to the date of the hearing as required by law, and to publish this resolution in two consecutive issues of the official newspaper of the City, with the first publication at least 15 days prior to the date of the hearing. The street frontage along the south side of Parfitt Way shall be measured from the easterly edge of the Madrona Caf6 property to the westerly edge of tax parcel # 27250240842004. 2. Each tax parcel shall bear its share of the costs in proportion to its street frontage as a percentage of the total street frontage, except per 3 below. Because of the jogging of the property line between the Pegasus building and the Winslow ¥Vharf marina property, the owners of these two properties a~ee that the street frontages for these two properties shall be combined for the calculations in item #2 above, and the resulting proportionate share shall be split equally between the Pegassus and Winslow Wharf owners. The street frontage for the parking area of the Winslow Wharf Marina common areas on the north side of Parfitt Way shall be ignored for all the above calculations.
