RES 98-23 APPROVAL OF THE WATERFRONT PARK MASTER PLANRESOLUTION NO. 98-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, APPROVING THE
WATERFRONT PARK MASTER PLAN.
WHEREAS, the current form and character of Waterfront Park has evolved
without the direction of a comprehensive master plan; and
WHEKEAS, Waterfront Park is a vital element of the island' s public open space
system; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with improvements being made to Brien/Bjune/Lower
Madison Avenue, the City entered into a contract with Verdigris, Cascade Design
Collaborative and Myers Biodynamics, Inc. who developed a master plan for the
enhancement of Waterfront Park; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
approves the Waterfront Master Plan dated November 3, 1997, attached to this resolution
and ratifies and confirms any actions consistent with the plan and resolves further that the
plan may be modified by the design of the Waterfront Trail.
