RES 2005-10 NM TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEERESOLUTION NO. 2005-10
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, accepting the Non -Motorized Transportation Advisory
Committee's work.
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island has adopted a Non -Motorized Transportation Plan (the Plan) as
part of the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan (Ordinance No. 2002-09); and
WHEREAS, the Mayor did appoint the Non -Motorized Transportation Advisory Committee (the
Committee) to assist in implementing the Non -Motorized Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Committee recommends that the City Council accept its Non -Motorized Transportation
Implementation Program for 2005; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, accepts the
following 2005 priority projects recommended by the Non -Motorized Advisory Committee:
• Wyatt Way (Finch to Weaver) bike lanes and sidewalk design and improvements
• Grow Avenue (Winslow Way to High School Road) for design of Non -Motorized improvements
• Wing Point Way (Femcliff to Cherry) beginning design of Non -Motorized improvements
• Madison Avenue (south of High School Road) Driveway Replacement Project design and
construction
• Shepard Way pedestrian path (east of Grow Avenue to Children's Museum) design and
construction
• Public process to establish the conceptual framework for safe walkibike to school routes around
Blakely and Wilkes schools
• Winslow segment of Waterfront Trail
