RES 2005-04 COUNTRY CLUB ROAD REPAIRSRESOLUTION NO. 2005-04
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, declaring
an emergency to waive the competitive bidding procedures in order to obtain
services for immediate repairs to a section on of Country Club Road.
WHEREAS, on December 17, 2004 a portion of Country Club Road failed,
prohibiting the use of the waterside travel lane and limiting residential access to
one lane of alternating traffic; and
WHEREAS, Country Club Road is the only route providing access to
residents to the south; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Darlene Kordonowy proclaimed a state of emergency
on December 22, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the City has obtained an emergency HPA permit from the
Department of Fisheries to complete repairs to Country Club Road by January
15, 2005; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, that the Public Works Director, is hereby authorized to obtain
waive the formal competitive bidding process in order to complete repairs
within the terms of the HPA permit.
