ORD 81-25 PARKING TOKENSORDINANCE NO. 81-25
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW PROVIDING
FOR USE OF PARKING TOKENS; FOR THE REGULATION
OF THE STOPPPING AND PARKING OF VEHICLES WITHIN
THE CITY OF WINSLOW; AND PROVIDING FOR HOURLY
PARKING RATES IN THE MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT; AND
IMPOSING A MONETARY PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO RESPOND
TO PARKING INFRACTIONS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 81-1
The City Council of the City of Winslow Do Ordain as follows:
SECTION I
Section I i. of Ordinance 81-1 is amended to read
as follows:
In areas in which parking fee collection boxes have
been installed, no vehicle shall be parked during the hours for
which parking fees are charged unless there has been deposited
in the applicable parking fee collection box in the appropriate
slot, in United Stated currency or parking token issued by the
City, the appropriate parking fee as designated in this
Ordinance.
For purposes of vehicles parked on City street near the
Washington State Ferry Terminal, the parking fee collection box
located at the foot of the hill and centered in front of the
Ferry Terminal shall be deemed the applicable parking fee
collection fox.
For purposes of those vet~icles parked on B june and Brien
Drives, the parking fee collection box located at the east inter-
section of Bjune Drive and Brien Drives shall be deemed to be
the applicable parking fee collection box.
Failure to comply with this regulation shall also constitute
"Overtime Parking".
SECTION II
Section IIIa. of Ordinance 81-1 is amended to read as
follows:
a o No person shall deposit or cause to be deposited in
any parking fee collection box any slug, button, foreign currency,
or any other device or substance as a substitute for currency of
the United States or parking token issued by the City. Failure to
comply with this regulation shall constitute "Illegal Use", and any
items so deposited will not be credited toward payment of the
applicable parking fee~

SECTION III
Section V a. of Ordinance No. 81-1 is amended to read
as follows:
ao Fees and hours of operation applicable to parking
in the numbered parking spaces near the Washington State
Ferry Terminal and the Municipal Parking Lot adjoining the
Winslow City Hall.
Spaces 1 - 41;
6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Automobiles qualifying for carpool
status and parking during these
hours in their assigned spaces
may park all day Monday through
Friday for the sum of $35.00 each
two calendar month period (not to
be pro-rated).
Spaces 1 - 41;
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p .m.
Spaces 42 - 72;
Spaces 116 - 168;
6:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.
Spaces 73-115
6:00 aom. 4:30 p.m.
Automobiles not qualifying for
carpool status or carpool permit
holders not parking in their
assigned spaces may park in this
zone after 9:00 a.m. on Monday
through Friday and all day after
6:00 a.m. on Saturday for $1.75
per vehicle, per incident of
parking per day.

Spaces 169 - 185 all
hours, provided that no
vehicle shall remain
parked in any single
space for more than
3 consecutive 24-hour
periods. Spaces are
reserved exclusively

9:00 a.m. After 9:00
a.mo anyone may park
upon payment $1.75 per
vehicle per incident
of parking per day.
Automobiles displaying current,
valid monthly parking passes
issued by the City of Winslow may
park in these spaces on a first
come first served basis for the
fee of $35.00 for each calendar
month (not to be pro-rated). All
non-monthly users may park after
9:00 a.m. for $1.75 per vehicle
per incident of parking per day.

Municipal Parking Lot
Adjacent to City Hall;
6:00 aom. to 6:00 p.m.
$ .25 per vehicle per hour per
incident of parking. Minimum
of 4 hours/incident/day.
SECTION IV
Section V c. of Ordinance 81-1 is amended to read as
follows:
co No Hourly Rates
The fee of $1.75 per vehicle per incident of parking
per day and the fee of $1.00 per vehicle per incident of parking
per day are flat rates. Except for the municipal parking lot
adjacent to the Winslow City Hall, no provisions are made for
hourly parIcing rates.
SECTION V
Section VI c. of Ordinance No. 81-01 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
c. In the event that response to the notice of Traffic
Infraction is not made in accordance with the provisions of
paragraph VI c above, the following additional sanctions will
apply:
1~ An additional monetary penalty will be imposed in the
amount of $10.00 per infraction issued, for failure to
respond.
2o The City of Winslow may refer the case to the City
Attorney for criminal prosecution.
