RES 2003-42 REMOVING HOURLY CHARGES FOR MOST LAND USE ACTIONSRESOLUTION No. 2003-42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON,
REMOVING HOURLY CHARGES FROM MOST LAND USE ACTIONS AND
REPLACING THEM WITH FIXED AMOUNTS PAYABLE IN ADVANCE, AND
AMENDING SECTIONS 8,9 AND 10 OF THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FEE
SCHEDULE.

land use approvals since November, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island has found both collection and
administration of after -the -fact hourly charges both difficult and laborious; and
WHEREAS; the City Council has now determined that the imposition of fixed
fees paid in advance will provide greater convenience to the land use applicants
by allowing them to plan for a fixed permit fee, known in advance; and
WHEREAS, the fees proposed in this resolution have been determined to recover
between 50% and 60% of the cost of the permitting function; and, now, therefore,
