RES 2006-48 HAMLET SUBDIVISION FINAL PLATRESOLUTION NO. 2006-48
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
approving the Hamlet Subdivision Final Plat (File
No. FSUB 13090)
WHEREAS, on September 28, 2005, the City Council passed Resolution No. 2005-29
which approved a preliminary plat for the creation of a five residential lot development located in
the vicinity of the northwest corner of the intersection of High School Road and Ferncliff
Avenue, Bainbridge Island (commonly known as the "Hamlet Subdivision"); and
WHEREAS, under Resolution No. 2005-29, final plat approval for the Hamlet
Subdivision is subject to the satisfaction of a number of conditions; and
WHEREAS, the applicant, Central Highlands, Inc., submitted a final plat application to
the Department of Planning and Community Development on October 2, 2006; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with BIMC 17.04.113(A), the City Engineer reviewed the
final plat application and relevant information and forwarded a recommendation of approval to
the Department of Planning and Community Development; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with BIMC 17.04.113(C), the Department of Planning and
Community Development reviewed the final application and relevant information and has
determined that the conditions for final subdivision application approval have been met, and
provided a written approval recommendation to the City Council; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The subdivision proposed for final plat approval (Hamlet Subdivision
Final Plat (File No. FSUB 13090)) conforms to all terms and conditions of approval for the
preliminary plat.
Section 2. The subdivision proposed for final plat approval (Hamlet Subdivision
Final Plat (File No. FSUB13090)) conforms to the zoning ordinance, the comprehensive plan, the
subdivision regulations and standards, and all applicable land use ordinances and applicable state
laws in effect at the time the fully completed application for preliminary plat approval was
submitted by the applicant to the Department of Planning and Community Development.
Section 3. The City Council finds that bonds and assurance devices by their essential
terms assure completion of all required plat improvements.
Section 4. The Mayor is authorized and directed to inscribe and execute the City
Council's approval on the face of the Hamlet Subdivision Final Plat.
Section 5. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to file the original of the Hamlet
Subdivision Final Plat for record with the Kitsap County Auditor and to file one reproducible
copy of the Hamlet Subdivision Final Plat (containing the Kitsap County Auditor's recording
number) with the City Clerk, the City Engineer, the Kitsap County Assessor and the applicant.
