ORD 99-72 1999 BUDGET AMENDMENTORDINANCE No. 99-72 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON AMENDING THE 1999 BUDGET (ORDINANCE 98-45) AND PROVIDING FOR THE ACCOUNTING FOR USES NOT FORESEEN AT THE TIME THE 1999 BUDGET WAS ADOPTED. WHEREAS, on December 17, 1998, the City Council adopted the budget for 1999 by Ordinance 98-45; and WHEREAS, at the time the 1999 budget was adopted the amount to be charged during 1999 to the newly-formed Private Development Fund was not known and still is not known; now therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS SECTION 1. The amount of expenditures charged to the Building & Development Services Fund (formerly known as the Private Development Fund-Fund 107) may be increased as determined by the Director of Finance and Administrative Services provided that an equal and offsetting decrease is made to the amount authorized to be spent in the Current Expense Fund 001. The amount of authorized operating transfers from the Current Expense Fund to the Building & Development Services Fund may also be increased in an amount not to exceed the increase in Building & Development Services Fund expenditures as determined above by the Director. This ordinance does not authorize an increase in the total amount of expenditures but only a change in the fund to which previously authorized expenditures may be charged. SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance shall be transmitted to the Division of Municipal Corporations in the Office of the Washington State Auditor and to the Association of Washington Cities. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days after its passage, approval and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council this 22nd day of December, 1999.
