AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING APPOINTIVE OFFICERS FOR
THE CITY OF WINSLOW ELIGIBILITY THEREFORE AND PUBLIC
OFFICIAL BOLD REQUIREMENTS AND APPLICABLE SALARIES.
~"" BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Winslow, Washington
as follows:
SECTION 1. 2'he Mayor shall appoint subject to confirmation
by majority of the whole membership of the City Council persons
he deems appropiiate to fill the following positions which
shall be considered as paid positions subject to payroll or
contractual arrangement with bond requirement and salary as
follows:

SECTION 2. The Official Bond requirement shall be met
by policy on an annual basis, with surety acceptable to the
Chief Administrative Officer of the City. The premium on
such bonds shall be paid by the City.
SECTION 3. Department head s may recommend hiring emergency
°'' or occasional labor which shall be subject to authorization
by the Mayor.
SECTION 4. The Mayor shall appoint persons he deems
appropriate subject only to Federal and State requirements
pertaining to age and non-discrimination.
SECTION 5. All employees of the City receiving compensa-
tion shall be entitled to a vacation period only after completion
of twelve months continuous service. Such vacation period
shall consist of fourteen consecutive days with provision
that all requests for vacation shall be authorized by the
Mayor. After the first year vacations 'shall be considered
on an annual basis and are not to be accumulated in excess
of 2 years. Any payments in lieu of vacation will be at the
discretion of the Mayor and authorized by Resolution of the

SECTION 6. No automatic sick leave is established and
each case of absence due to sickness shall be individually

considered on its merits by the Mayor.
~r+ SECTION 7. Approved overtime is to be paid at the
rate of 12 times the computed hourly rate of the employees
established salary.
Ordinance No. 21 and all amendments thereto are
herewith revoked.
