,AN EI~fiERGENCY ORDINANCE DECZARING AN IIUIERGENCY AMID
1i.UTHORIZII~ THE EXPENDITURE THEREE'ONE.
Y,~,RE'~S, as a result of the severe Winter of 196~./196s,
The Town was faced with an emergency to prevent the loss of a part of
an access street, and
WT~~, the cost entailed above normal grading, ballasting
and surfacing, and
VdIiEREAS, such emergency repair for the restoration of use-
fulness of a public street was a nondebatable emergency expenditure,
and
WI~REAS, such expenditure exceeded the budgeted amount for
street repair by X1,200., and
WI-~~'~AS, the prevention of property damage required the
immediate and emergency construction of 900 feet of storm sewer, and
of ~ 1, 250 .
V,~3E~ ' K', this unforeseen project was constructed at a cost
NAT THEREFORE BE IT ORDA'll~i~ by the Town Council of the
Town of Winslow, Washington,
That the above. are considered emergency expenditures as
prescribed under R.C.W. 35.27.x.60,
That an emergency exists.
That authorization is granted for the payment of these
emergency expenditures.
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Town Council and approved
approved by its Mayor this 17th d~.y -s~ January, 1966.
