ORD 47-05 ANNUAL MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS & CAUCUSES WASHIN6TON ,~>t~m~ H. W. ALLEN, OWNER An Ordinance pertaining ~o annual municipal elections and to caucuses. We it ordained by the Council of the Town of Winslow| ~ctlon 1--Tha~he annual general election for the Town of Win- slow shall be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in December of each year, and said election shall be open to voters from twelve o'clook noon until eight o'clock in the evening on th 'd date. wn o 1 o shall consist of one inspwctor and two Judges, who shall be appointed by the Town Council at its first regular meeting in November of each year. Section ~---Notiwe of said election shall be given at least ~ty days preceding such election; shall be signed by~he town clerk; shall designate the place, the time, the offices to be filled, and the propositionl (if any) to be voted on; and shall be published once in the official newspaper and posted on the door of the polling place. Section~---Tha~ all elective candidates for municipal office of the ~wcn of Winslow, ~ashington~shall be first nominated by a caucus as hereinafter provide~, and the name of no candidate for such offiwe shall be Orinten upon the offiwial ballot unless such candidates shall have been first nominated' by such caucus. ~eotion 5--- A caucus shall consist of an organized group of ~ified electors of the Town of ~instow, not less than ten in nnmber, espousing a political party or principal and may be organized at any time. Se~_lon 6--- Notice of the meeting ol any caucus of which candidat~ for election shall be chosen shall be given by the ~own clerk in the manner required by law upon request of the ~ presiding ofiicer of such caucus at least 2_~4~e~ty-$ne (~lJ · days prior tothe date fixed for the holding of such election and such caucus shall be h~ld at least ten days subsequeht to such notice at a time and place designated by such presiding officer and designated in such notice, S~tion 7--- lhe names of the candidates nominated at such meeting of a caucus shall be duly certified by the presiaing a officer or secretary thereof to the e~wn Clerk at least ten days prior to such election.
