AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 79-28, AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF WINSLOW ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE
(1979 EDITION), UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS (1979 EDITION),
UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE (1979 EDITION), UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE
(1979 EDITION), UNIFORM FIRE CODE (1979 EDITION), UNIFORM CODE
FOR THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS (1979 EDITION) AND
REGULATIONS FOR BARRIER FREE FACILITIES AS PUBLISHED BY THE
WASHINGTON STATE BUILDING CODE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON OCTOBER 1, 1976,
THERMAL EFFICIENCY STANDARDS, PURSUANT TO H. B. 98 (RCW 19.27) AS
PUBLISHED BY THE WASHINGTON STATE ENERGY OFFICE, AMENDING SAID
CODES AND ESTABLISHING FEES FOR INSPECTION AND ESTABLISHING
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES 78-28,
NO. 45, AND 69-6.
THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Winslow dog ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. THAT SECTION 4. AMENDMENTS TO UNIFORM PLUMBING
CODE (1979 EDITION) TO BE AMENDED TO READ AS
FOLLOWS:
The Schedule of Fees as stated in Part One Administration
Section 4.1, of the Uniform Plumbing Code (1979 Edition)
shall be amended as follows:

SCHEDULE OF FEES
For issuing each permit

IN ADDITION:
For each plumbing fixture or trap (including
water drainage piping and backflow protection
therefore)

For each water heater and/or vent
$ 2.50
For each industrial waste pretreatment interceptor
including its trap and vent, excepting kitchen
type grease interceptors functioning as fixture
traps
$ 3.0O
For each installation, alteration of drainage or
vent piping
$ 2.50
For each installation, alteration or repair of
water piping and/or water treating equipment
$ 2.50
For each lawn sprinkler system on any one meter,
including backflow protection devices therefore

For vacuum breakers or backflow protective devices
on tanks, vats, etc., or for installation on
unprotected plumbing fixture, including necessary
water piping- one (1) to five (5)

Other fee schedules shall remain as called out in the
Uniform Building Code (1979 Edition) and the Uniform
Mechanical Code ( 1979 Edition ) .
B. MATERIALS:
Section 401(a) 2 and 503(a) 2 of the UPC (1979 Edition)
is deemed amended to read as follows:
ABS or PVC DWV installations shall be limited to
combustible residential construction provided it meets
the requirements of Chapter 43 of the UBC.
SECTION 2: EFFECTIVE DATE:
This Ordinance shall take effect five (5) days after
its publication or posting in the manner provided by
law.
