ORD 80-23 BANNER SIGN PERMIT ORDINANCE NO. 80 - 23
CE AMENDING ORDINANCE 79-9 AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE 797~4 RELATING TO SIGNS, AND PROVIDING A
PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING AND GRANTING AN EXTENSION
TO THE TIME LIMIT ON A BANNER SIGN PERMIT.
The City Council of the City of Winslow do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Paragraph 5 of Section IIIA of Ordinance 79-9
as amended by Ordinance 79-24 shall be amended to read as follows:
5. Banner Sign - A sign made of fabric and designed to
be displayed between two supporting structures located
on opposite sides of a public street. A banner sign
may be displayed for a maximum of 16 days each calendar
year and shall be limited to Winslow Way. An extension
of this time limit may be granted by the City Council
upon request by the applicant.
The City Council shall have sole discretion in granting
or denying this extension.
Banner permits shall be exempt from sign permit fees and
plan check fees, however, a permit shall be required as
per Section V. of Ordinance 79-9 and all banner permit
applications shall be approved by the City Council before
issuance.
SECTION II: All other provisions of Ordinance 79-9 and Ordinance
79-24 shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage and, five (5) days following its posting or publication as
required by law.
