ORD 54-33 PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND SAFETY ORDINANCE N0. 33
AN ]~4EENCY 0RDI~!ANCE declaring an emergency existing
pertaining to the preservation of the health and safety of
the people of the Town of Winslow, Washington, authorizing
an increase in police protection for the period June 15 to
July 15, 1954,
and providing funds therefor.
WHEREAS, an emergency is declared to exist demanding additional
police protection during the period of June 15 to July 15, 1954, and
WHEREAS, it is declared that 24-hour police coverage duri~ that
period is to the best interests of the citizens of Winslow, Washington, and
WHEREAS, such nolice coverage n~y be obts~ined in conjunction with
the sI~u~l:mented force in this area of the Kit sap County Sheriff Department.
and
WME~REAS, the necessary expenditure could not be reasonably foreseen
at the time of s, dopting the 1954 budget;
~TOW, Tt~EFORE, BE IT ORDAIkvED by the Town Council of the Town of
Winslow, Washington, as follows:
That a deputy marshal be hired for the period June 15 to July 15.

That said deputy ms,rshal be paid the sum of $100.00 for the period
June 15 to July 15, 1954.
That the su~n of $100. O0 be transferred from the amount budgeted
for park and recreation facilities and be made available for payment of the
deputy marshal~s services, both items being with the General fund.
