B~. IT ORDAIEID by the Town Council of the Tram of Winslow, Wash-
Section iI ~hat a Town election for the Town of Winslow shall be
held on the second hesas,v of March, 1955-
Section 2: That said election a~all be open to voters from eight
olclock in the morning until eight olclock in the evening.
Section D: Said election shall be held at the Town lhll in Window,
lashington, mad precincts No, 1 and No. 2 shall be combined for this election,
Section 4{ The ~oard of Election shall consist of one inspector
and two judges ~ shall be appointed by the Town Council at its first reg-
ular meeting in ~ebruary 1955-
Section 5: A~i elective candidates for a~-!cipal office for the
Town of ~Winslow, Washington shall be first nominated by caucus as heroinafter
provided,
Section 6| A caucus shall consist of a~ organized group of qcal-
ified electors of the Town of Winelow, Washington,' not less ~han 25 in number,
espousing a political party or principle.
_Section ?: ~ch politicalLoparty or principle as referred to in
S~.ction 6 shall be expressed in not over five words in length,
Section 8: Notice of the meeting of ax~ caucus at which ~aadid,-
ares of an.v election shall be chosen shall be given by the presiding officer
of such caucus to the T~wn Clerk, who will publish the same as by law prov-
ided, at least ten days prior to the date fixed for the holding of w, ch
caucus. Notice shall contain the time and place designated by such presid-
ing of£icer. The caucuses provided for in this Ordinance must be held on or
before Januax7 15, 1955.
Section 9: ~he names of the candidates nominated at such meeting
of a caucus shall be duly certified by the presiding officer thereof to the
Town Clerk within five days following the holding of such caucus, and said
certificate n~l contain the name of the candidate, his residence address,
his business, the office for which he is nominated, and shall be signed
not less than 25 voters residing in the Town of Winslow. No person shall
participate in more than one caucus or Join the nomination of more than one
person for each office to be filled.
~ection 10~ The -_~mes of the candidates so certified shall be
printed on the ballot under the names of the political party or principle
so nominating them.
Section 11| ~he laws of the State of Washington shall govern in
all cases wherein this Ordinance has not provide~[.
Section 12| ~his Ordinance shall become effective when it shall
have been passed by the Town Council and signed by the Mayor.
PASSED by the Town Council of the Town of Winslow, Washington, and
approved by its Mayor this 7th day of December,
