ORD 55-38 PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE AND MORALS AN ORDINANC~ relating'to the public health, safety, welfare
and morals, defining the hours during which all businesses
within the Tows of Winslow must be closed except in certain
cases, providing for penalties for the violation thereof,
and repealing all ordinances inconsistent herewith.
B~. IT OR]iAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Winslow, Wash-
ington as follows;
1. It shall be nnlawful for s/1F person ownir,.~ or operating an~
restaurant, dining room, cafe or other place where commercial food is served
to the public, or any person owning or operating ~ny premises for the pur-
pose of offering to the public any food, drink, or entertainment at a profit,
within the Town of Winslow, to have or keep such premises or places open to
the public between the hours of 1:00 olclock A.M. and 6:00 oXclock A.M. on
weekdays, and from mis~oht Saturda,v to 6:00 olclock A.M. Sunda~, And from
midnight Sunday to 6XO0 o'cloek A.M. Monda.v, except as such shall be neces-
sary for the protection or preservation of property or of the health, safety,
life or limb of some person.
2. An~v person found guilty of any of the acts or offenses herein
prohibited or defined shall be punished by a fine in any sum not to exceed
$100.00 or by imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, or both such fine and
imp ri sonmerit.
3. All ordi~t~nces or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
4. This ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public health, safety, welfare and morals, and having been passed by
the unsmimous vote of the Town 0ouncil shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and publication.
