ORD 55-40 PURCHASE OF A USED TRUCK AN 0RDIEANCE providing for the purchase of a used true
as an emergency expenditure, declaring an emergency, estimat-
ing the amount reeuired to meet the expenditure and authoriz-
ing the issuance of emergency warrants.
BE IT 0RDAIie by the Town Council of the Town of Winslow, Wash-
in6ton as follows:
Section 1. It being in the interest of the public health, safety
and welfare that the Town of Winslow continue to have a truck to be used for
municipal purposes, and it bei.~ deemed that the present truck is unsafe and
uneconomtcal to repair, which condition was not anticipated at the time of
preparation of the budget, an emergency is deemed to exist requiring the
purchase of a truck in form and m~nner as specified.
Section 2. It is estimated that a used truck chassis and cab will
meet the needs of the town and that such truck can be purchased for approx-
imately $1,000.00.
Section 3- The issuance of emergency wzrrants to cover the ex-
penditure is authorized, Such warrants shall bear interest at the rate of
4~% per annum and shall be redeemed on or before December 31, 1957-
